Click images to enlarge Description Maker: Sessions Clock Company c.1908 Model: Regulator E c.1908 or Crescent No.15 c.1915 Condition: This is a nice antique Sessions store regulator wall clock coming to you as shown but with a winding key that is not pictured. I am selling it as a "Regulator E" model from 1908 but it very well could be the newer "Crescent No.15" model from 1915 made for the Spanish market. They are identical in the Tran Duy Ly reference books so, I just wanted to make that disclaimer. The wood is in very good condition having all of the age apropriate blemishes you would expect, a few nicks and scratches here and there and some loosening on some of the nailed pieces of wood. The left corner support brace on the top section has some of it missing as shown and the bottom section has a small, 2-3" crack/split on the right side. The movement is signed and it has been ultrasonically cleaned, oiled/greased and adjusted. It has been running for the last 4 days without any issues however, it will be sold as a non-running clock for restoration. I refuse to pay shipping both ways and issue a full refund because the buyer doesn't know how to set a beat. If you do not know how to set the beat or regulate the time on a mechanical clock, please search YouTube for some "how to" videos on setting the beat on a mechanical clock movement before purchasing this clock. If you do know how to make these basic adjustments, you will be pleased with the performance of this clock. Everything appears to be original with exception of 2 things. The finish has probably been touched up or refinished 40 or 50 years ago because it just looks too good to be original. If it has been refinished, they did a very professional job of doing so. Second, one of the glass panes is a replacement. I believe the bottom pane has been replaced because it has a silver and black trim whereas the top is gold and black. They are both old pieces of glass but I believe the gold would have been the correct color. The dial is a signed Sessions paper dial on a zinc metal dial pan with a nickel trim ring. The nickel trim ring has a lot of wear as does the dial. Someone has touched up some of the roman numerals with black ink and they did a pretty decent job because you will do a double take to make sure you see what you just saw...if that makes sense. I take great care in packaging all the items being sold but, I especially take extra precautions when packing clocks. I do everything I can to prevent your clock arriving damaged. Due to rising costs and some areas no longer being the rates they used to be, I no longer will offer large wall clocks with free shipping.
